Open phone then with camera lens facing you squeeze area between camera

lens and vol up/down buttons.  This reseats the ribbon cable located under

the cover.  It becomes loose with all the opening and closing of the phone.

  • Anonymous Dec 03, 2007

Turn phone off then remove battery. There is "DOT" where the battery compartment is. It should be white. If it is a color other than white the phone was exposed to moisture. If this is the case you will have to purchase a new phone. Sorry. Let me know.

I have a V551 and was fishing around for the solution to my black screen. My phone had fallen from my bedside stand to the floor last night and though it worked normally, the light on the screen wouldn't come on. So I read GEngineering's solution and I wondered: "squeeze" the phone??? But I decided to try it and it worked! I applied a bit of pressure on the 'outskirts; of the screen itself. The light came back on and my phone is now working great! I love this phone so much and have used it for almost 3 years (no one understands why!).

Thank you, GEngineering!

Sharp R-9H84B-display black, cleared display shows "Conv Mix, 88:88 Auto". Short time all dark again. Hit clear happen 2 times then, all dark, no power, can't clear won't start, nothing works.

I would suggest pulling the control board out and looking on the foil side (opposite the component side) for "ring cracks," most likely on the low voltage transformer's connections.

The board may have the screen-printed reference designator "T1" near the low voltage transformer.

Also be sure the fuse is not easy to turn with your fingertips when it is in the holder. If it is, the fuse holder is too loose and must be replaced (not just squeezed with pliers).

You can order a fuse holder, part number WB06X10034 for $6.49 (subject to change) from the Pros here.

If you have any keypad issues, please note that the membrane keypads for this model have long been discontinued.

I can't get my Macbook setup to use the Lexmark x6650. I used the install disc and the wifi light on the printer is green, but I still cannot figure out how to setup my Macbook to print to is...

Print the network settings page to identify if your printer is connected to your wireless network:

1. Press Setup on the printer operator panel.

2. Press the right or left arrow button until Network Setup is displayed, press OK.

3. Press OK at Print Setup Page.

4. Press OK when prompted to Load Paper.

5. Press OK. The network settings page will now print.

Check the Network Card Status, SSID, Trouble Code, TCP/IP Address. SSID should be the name of your wireless network. Otherwise, you may need to reset the printer's wireless network settings.

How to reset network settings:

1. Press Setup.

2. Press the right or left arrow button until Network Setup is displayed, press OK.

3. Press the right or left arrow button until Reset Network Adapter Defaults is displayed, press OK.

Once the Wi-Fi light turns on to solid orange, run the Lexmark Wireless Setup Assistant on your Mac.

My phone dect 6.0 uniden rings when someone calls but will not dial out

Hello :

Maybe you need to program the phone .
Here I'll tell you how :

  1. Press the Down main navigation button and press Menu/OK. The main navigation button is in the center of the keypad and is cylindrical in shape.
  2. Press either the Up or Down main navigation button until "New Entry" appears on the display.
  3. Press the Menu/OK button and "Enter Name" will appear on the display.
  4. Enter the name using the keypad. Enter the names the same way you would enter text in a text message on a mobile phone. For example, to enter the character "H," press the 4 digit twice. Use the labeling on the buttons to guide you.
  5. Press the Menu/OK button after entering the name and "Enter Number" will appear on the display. Enter the phone number using the keypad.
  6. Press the Up or Down navigation button to select "Save" or "Go Back" and then press Menu/OK. The entry is now programmed. Press the goodbye button; it's the button with the phone icon on a cradle.
  7. Press the Down navigation button and the first alphabetical number is displayed. If you keep holding the button, the phone will scroll through your phone book alphabetically.
  8. Press the button with the phone icon on it (not the goodbye button) to dial the number associated with the phone book entry.
I hope that will help .

Wharfedale DECT TAM telephone/answer machine is flashing CL on the main answer machine base unit. This message is not indicated in the user manual can you please advise? Many Thanks Steven Clifford

This is due to the base unit losing power and needs the clock resetting.
The handsets retain their clocks under battery power so this is a little misleading.

To reset the base unit clock:
- press the OK key
- press the 'down' arrow twice until "DATE/TIME" is displayed.
- press the OK key again, this will display the year. Enter the correct year on the handset numeric keypad and then press OK. (Only the last two digits of the year need to be entered).
- The date is then displayed in MM/YY format, enter the correct date on the handset numeric keypad and then press OK.
- The time is then displayed, enter rhe correct time on the handset numeric keypad and press OK.
- The handset then beeps and displays "SAVED".
- Press the "C" button and replace the handset on the base unit.

The base unit should now stop flashing "CL".

There is a big trouble

all faxes use automatic fallback sytem for dropping the speed as well as the machines communicate on the highest common speed therefor you don't need to set the speed. Apart from the situation if your phone line is disturbed and not receiving faxes and giving communication errors.... happy faxing omnipresent
