I have the same problem with my DPC 115C printer. the red ink does,nt print even if i replace it with a new and original cartridge. i read to a new post about deep cleaning the prithead but not telling how to do this. please send some instructions on how to deep clean the printhead of my DPC 115C. Thanks!
To clean a print cartridge you should a glaas of water and 15-25 ml of alcohol and mix it in a small wide pan. Dip the head (usually head is mounted to the cartridge itself) in the solution and move horizontally (while the head portion only submerged) keep it there for 5-10 minutes. This should clean your print head. After the head is dry you can mout it to the printer and print. Caution: Do not touch the electronic contacts on spilt water or alcohol in it. This will damage the printer.

Red will not print even after many cleaning cycles. printer is a brother dcp-115c. the print heads are NOT on the cartridge so please dont tell me to dunk the cartridges in alcohol/water mix. it can't be done.
