I have bought a keybopard with a credit card swipe, and it did not come with a cable. It has an ethernet plug in the back of the keyboard and i need to know how to hook that up to my computer, because the ethernet port on my computer is taken up now by my internet. am i supposed to find an ethernet to usb cable or something, or ethernet to ps/2?

Just to make sure we give you the correct info, what is the make & model # of the keyboard you purchased?

I wonder what do you plan to do with a credit card swipe? since you will still need to enter your credit card details on web shops etc.

Whats the brand and model of the keyboard and I'll look into it.
    Thanks

How to set up Xbox LIVE for beginners.

First of all, you need either a valid credit card, or a prepaid Xbox LIVE card.

Alright, now you need high speed internet that uses an Ethernet cord to bridge your connection. Plug into the back of your console. (There is a gray Ethernet cord supplied with most Xbox's.)
dcf17d7.jpg
Plug it into where the "Ethernet cable" arrow is pointing, the bottom port. The top one is an USB port.

Now, go to your dashboard and go to your setting. (All the way to the right on your main dashboard channel) Run a connection test to verify that you have a connection to Xbox LIVE. If everything good, then let's move on.

Press the center guide button on your controller and choose "Join Xbox LIVE". Have your valid credit card and/or your prepaid Xbox LIVE card ready. Put in all of your personal details. Once you have all of your personal details and preferences filled out, then you're done!

!!!IMPORTANT!!! IF YOU DON'T WANT YOUR CHILD OR WHOEVER IS USING THIS TO CHARGE A LOT OF MONEY TO YOUR CREDIT CARD BUYING MICROSOFT POINTS, WHICH IS MICROSOFT CURRENCY ON THE XBOX FOR THE MARKETPLACE, THEN DON'T INSERT YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER, JUST USE A PREPAID CARD!

Not respoinding to vmac

you need to check if the internet in your office that connects to the terminal is working. you may also need to reboot your system or do a partial download to connect to vmac. try unplugging for 1 min. then replug and see if this clears it. if it does not and you have transactions in your terminal you will need to call merchant services to assist you or you will lose those sales. try rebooting your internet modem and plugging it back in, unplug terminal power remove Ethernet cable reboot your modem plug in Ethernet, then power and see if that works

I cant rewrite any cards

Hi,

There is switch on the edge of the card to lock the card from read/write. Check if it locked and unlock.

This switch prevents anyone from trying to write/erase your data in the memory card.

Hope this is helpful

The device does not reassign new IP address via ethernet

Try leaving the Ethernet cable plugged into the machine and remove the power cord for say 10 secs. then plug it back in.

Internet connection

There are 3 ways to connect to the internet. Using a modem with a phone line, an ethernet cable that is hooked up to a high speed internet connection or using wireless. If the laptop does not have a modem, it may have wireless or an ethernet port. Ethernet is slightly larger than a phone jack. If there is wireless there should be a button to turn it on and off somewhere along the top of the laptop where the keyboard is. You could also put get type of those connections on a PCMCIA card which fits into the credit card like slots on the side.
