I am trying to connect my Dlink DKT-401 router to my Linksys cable gateway router. I am not getting internet access when connecting to the Dlink network

I DON'T THINK YOU CAN RUN 2 ROUTERS ON THE SAME NETWORK UNLESS ONE IS USED AS AN ACCESS POINT.
1. Connect as local device or bridge - If connecting the second router via Ethernet cable, plug it into one of the LAN ports on the first router. If connecting the second router wirelessly, ensure the second router is set for client mode. Note that some home wireless routers do not support client mode; these must be connected by cable. Check your router documentation for details on its client mode configuration support.

2. Check / change IP address - Most home network routers use a default IP address setting. Often, these default IP addresses will not work in a two router environment. Check the second router's IP address value and reset it if necessary to work within the valid address range of the first router (and to not conflict with any other device on the network).

3. Disable DHCP - To avoid IP address conflicts between all of the devices on the home network, only one of your two routers should assign addresses via DHCP. All mainstream routers provide an option to disable DHCP as part of the router's configuration screens.

Instead of adding a second wired router to an existing network, consider adding a network switch instead. A switch accomplishes the same goal of extending the size of a network, but it does not require any IP address or DHCP configuration, greatly simplifying configuration.

All Dlink routers has a reset button at the back. Just use a paper clip to press and hold that button hole until the router turns off itself and restarts again. Your router will then return back to defaults with 192.168.0.1 IP address.

Please let me know if this helps. Thank you for using FixYa.

The Switch's factory default IP address is 10.90.90.90
with a subnet mask of 255.0.0.0 and a default gateway of 0.0.0.0.
Often set up by rs232 connection

I'm not able to connect to my dlink 7090 it seems to be a network mismatch. i have already connect the equipement to a dhcp server. i don't know to bypass the web configuration interface or to reset the...

Find the Button Reset: reset to factory default settings, press it to restore device.

Now the default IP address is 192.168.224.226.

Set a PC with IP address of same subnet, like 192.168.224.1

Start the Internet Explorer web browser on the Windows workstation and enter the URL

http://192.168.224.226

to access the Router’s logon page.

To log in with the administrator’s permissions, enter the default login and password – admin, qwerty.

Product 966, D-Link D524 Router.

It happens when you type wrong ip address and it automatically goes to google because google is the default search engine setted in your computer and the Ip address entered is wrong so it search for it and end up with some google search information

I hope you are not sure about your router Ip address - if you know how to find out the real ip address of the dlink router do it
and go to command prompt ping that ip address for reply.

Clarify me about your network structure - mostly default Ip address when you get it new is 192.168.1.1 - Try to reconfigure it

Are you able to get a log page from the router

DES-3226L A1

Log in to the switch as an administrative user (using the login command).

You can type the following command:

reset {config|system}

If you type "reset config" all of the factory default settings are restored on the switch except for the IP address, user
accounts, and the switch history log.

If you type "reset system" all of the factory default settings are restored on the switch.

If you just type "reset" by itself, the switch’s current IP address, user accounts, and switch history log are retained. All other
parameters are restored to their factory default settings.
