Remove anything in the unit that could spill or tip over. Raise the front leveling legs to allow unit to roll. Slide the unit out from the wall. Place something between the refrigerator and the wall to protect surfaces. ***Make sure you have someone to assist with this next part. Tilt unit to the side and lean it against the wall to raise up the roller to be replaced. There is a metal base that supports the rollers, compressor, condenser and fan motor. You will see a heavy duty metal pin that goes through the roller. Bend down the metal tab in the base to remove roller pin. Replace the roller, reinstall bin and bend the tab back up. Carefully set the refrigerator back down on all four rollers. push back in place and screw down the front leveling legs.

Amana BR18V1S is running but fridge temperature is low (slightly cool) Checked everything, cleaned coils (very dirty) Freezer OK.

Check and see if the freezer coils are blocked with ice. If not you may have a refrigerant problem as you stated the coils were dirty. The new refrigerants when hot tend to clog the capillary tube which feeds the refrigerant to the evaporator (freezer coils)

I have a older modle Hamana 22 refrigerator and it will not dispense ice. The augor just spins and don;t spit any ice out.

Is there any ice in the bin? Check to see if it is clogged with ice, if so, rinse it under hot water. Is the water dispenser working?

Proper refrigerant levels for Amana Side by Side refrigerator

Hi, normally the suction pressure on a refrigerant -22 system will be between 60 pounds gauge pressure (which keeps it above freezing point) and about 80 pounds. This depends on the temperature condition.Make sure that the superheat and subcooling are correct to see what is to be considered normal for the conditions you have present.

Take care

Knocking and humming only when freezer door is closed

It sounds like the fan, which would not run with the door open. Be sure it is clear of all obstructions then fake out the door switch and see if this resolves the problem. If it doesn't it will confirm that it is the fan or not. If it is just replace it.
Good Luck,

Heat along inside of doors

The heat is to prevent condensation from building on the outside of the cabinet. It is sometimes done by a heating element which can be turned off (Energy Saver mode On), or by the way the refrigeration is piped (and ther eis nothing that can be done about it.).

Amana 22 side-by-side refrigerator, freezer door opens slightly

There are three possibilities to this problem:

1. Door seal which should be magnetic is faulty.
2. Ice maker caddy (container) has not socketed properly into ice maker rear drive tang.
3. Door stay closed plastic hing pieces are damaged. These are tapered pieces that fit in hinge area that allow door weight to help close and hold door. Some are black in color and some are white. As far as I know they are interchangeable.
