Press "Menu", Press left/right keys to select "Option", press Up/Down to select "Output Select", press "Enter". Select "Fixed" with left/right keys, and press "Enter". The volume will be set to 0 and you'll have to increase it.

I have a brand new 55" smart TVs and when we set it up we could not get any sound,is there something we are doing wrong.

Check in the menu if there is a switch between internal and external speakers. If you are trying to use the internal ones and they are set externally, you will get no sound. The reverse is also true.

I have an TX-SR313 for a year now and it was working perfectly until yesterday it just automatically shots off even when I turn it on for several time it just shots off. How can I solve that Problem?

Hello, It seems like the receiver is going into protection mode. A unit will only go into protection mode for two reasons mainly. The first reason is if there is an internal short. The second is if there is an external short which is typically only caused by one or more of the speaker connections. To isolate whether the short is internal or external, you would first need to unplug the receiver and disconnect all of the speakers. At this point you will plug the receiver back in with no speakers connected and turn the unit back on. Also turn the volume up to about 70 (even with no speakers connected). If the unit stays on that means that one or more of the speaker connections was causing the receiver to go into protection mode. If the receiver shuts off again with no speakers connected, then that means the unit would have an internal short and would have to go in for service. Thanks, FJD

Do internal speakers need to be off for external speakers to work

I have found in some instances my external speakers need to be off. Mostly if I use my smart TV on Netflix or Amazon Prime. If you have external speakers attached it is better to turn off internal speakers.

Speakers are mounted on the side of tv (mitsubishi CS 40503 1995 model) want to remove them and have them in a different location

"Speaker: Internal/External" controls which speaker (built-in or external) is available. Set to "Internal" for normal operation of the internal speaker system. When connected to external speakers or an external audio system, the speakers can be turned off by setting this function to "External."

From reading this I see that the speakers may be internal because the setup allows to switch between external or internal. A mounted speaker is either permanent, part of the case, or has something that the speaker case slips into. I had one like that. You simply lift them and set them else where. How far they can be moved will depend on the wire. The wire is either attached internal through the back or attached via connectors on the back. That can either be loose wire or RCA plugs. Normally the wire coming from the speakers is attached internal, making the removal of them impossible. The wire is usually 3 to 6 feet long. You can buy an external speaker wire that has RCA plugs (and or plain wire) that will attach to the existing speaker wire and TV.

Good luck and post back

How do you turn on the internal speakers for a toshiba regza 55 inch tv

some of these sets do not have internal speakers. If they have red and black connectors on the back marked speaker out it has external speakers. that being said, if yours has internal speakers go to the set up menu and fallow down to audio. IT will be found there. SPEAKERS ON /OFF

Built in speakers not working

Are you using external speakers? or internal?

EXTERNAL SPEAKERS: If your are plugging speakers into your headphone jack and they dont play, but you plug headphones into the same port and they work fine.. then it is the external speakers.

INTERNAL SPEAKERS: But if you are using the speakers in the laptop, then your speakers are probably bad. Try some software settings, but probly just bad speakers. Could also be that the speaker cord inside the laptop came unplugged from the motherboard. In which case you would have to take the laptop apart and plug it back into the motherboard.

Good Luck.

Speaker Problem

Nothing is wrong. Most computers automatically turn off the internal seakers after the external seakers are connected. Go to cntrol pannel and see what you can do under audio options or some such equivelent. Check back with more problems,
hope this helped/helps.
