My polaris 380 on goes backwards - Polaris 380 In Ground Pool Cleaner

My polaris 380 is stuck in backup mode. Fliter screen is fine and wheels do turn.

Check that your back up valve was installed in the correct direction. It is easy to get it backwards. The narrower end should be closest to the polaris. If that doesn't help let me know and we'll get into more detail.

Polaris cleaners have a "back up valve" that is supposed to launch the cleaner backwards every so often. Watch the cleaner to see if this happens. If not, the valve is probably malfunctioning. polaris has belts in side it if your handy you can replace them your self if not any pool place can do it but it is a belt i have a 380
