I bought a 42" Ilo TV from walmart, it was the display model so of course i didnt get a manual ive had it only 2 1/2 months and now the screen gets fuzzy after its been on for a few hours, whereever the color black is a green dotts appear, which cause it to look fuzzy, i am looking for help as well as a way to get a manual.
Same here model lct42ha36 for less than 90 days some say you can take it back to walmart, hurry. you can call ilo at 800-216-5156 with model and s/n and they will give you a number for akai 800-428-1105 or tatung 888-428-1105 to call depending on which made it. I called akai and they had me fax a copy of receipt and the transaction number they gave me to set up a in home repair by a service center at no cost they say (i hope) it is cover for one year parts and labor and you can go back within 90 days and buy extended warrenty for 2 more years for about $60. I'm over 90 days so i'm going through the process. Repost to this site and let me know how it goes. I'll repost if I can with a follow up when they come out.

More likely the backlight inverter board has gone out, or power supply for the inverter board went out, those are the two places to look. Check the power supply first for burnt parts, bad capacitors. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capacitor_plague

keep complaining about it cause i had the same problem and demanded a new tv for about a month and they finally gave in. the model that i had wasn't sold anymore so i piad the difference on a new one that was only like $50 more. dont give up. Give 'em hell!
First of all, stop bitching about Wal-Mart. If they tell you there's nothing they can do, then there's nothing they can do. You shouldn't complain because you expect Wal-Mart to solve all your problems! 90 days is 90 days, after that they are not ALLOWED to take back your TV, and for those of you whom this pertains to, if it was messed up before 90 days, you SHOULD HAVE BROUGHT IT BACK IN TIME! Oh, and on the reciept piece, what don't you understand about that? How can they prove it's not stolen if YOU didn't save YOUR reciept?? Common sense says that you should have saved it. At any rate, the number you ned to call is 1-216-454-0867. Yes, it's long distance, get over it.
With remote control click TV Menu, scroll down to "Sound" click right toggle arrow, scroll down again to "Speaker" and make sure it is set to "Internal" if useing TV speakers or "External" if routing sound output to a stereo or surround system.
