Mine is Toshiba 55 TZ, have it since 98', shutdown and red light blinking problem, search the ned and found out, generally a Convergence IC (stk392-110) problem. bought 2 for $15 at suburban-elect.com (ebay). replaced following direction from
http://www.casiasfamily.com/repairlog/tp50h15.html
Open back cover, 9 screws and wirings (pls mark), removed(soldered) a electronic board infront of convergence ic. removed IC (stk392-110) (screwed and soldered).
Replaced everything and voila...! it is now working again..
no more shutsdown and red blinking light. Saves mo $400 for a repariman. of course just be careful with static and stuff.
the metal jumpers are on top of the board or the bottom where the fuses are? is there a number associated it with it on the circuit board i could not locate any of them , can you please be more specific
thank you.
