Do you mean the network unlocking solution?What is your mobile model?I suggest you can unlock the mobile through unlock codes which is quite safe and simple.You can get free unlock codes for basic/old mobile models from Unlocking4Free com or from Unlocking4u.com where they provide unlocking service for various mobile models.
Was the replacement remote identical to the original one; or, does it need to be programmed. Also, if your replaced your old remote because it was not working, it might be that the IR sensor on your TV is bad.
On the little PC board which has the pushbuttons on it, mounted right behind the buttons on the front of the TV, is the remote (IR) receiver. It is a little black box with 3 leads soldered to that board. One pin is grounded, one pin is +5 volts and the third is signal. The signal pin should be a little less than 5 volts, and when you use ANY remote the signal pin should have inverted digital data (about 4.5 to 0). If you measure the signal pin and it is near zero volts, replace the receiver. If the signal pin is around 4.5 volts, replace the remote.
