Hi, I gave up on this recorder while it was still brand new. Now I want to try again. I had it put away without batteries, btw. I have tried a number of new pairs of various brands of batteries, and I KNOW the thing works, but I can't get any menu/folders/display of any kind. Any advice on what to do to restore the display? Thanks :)

Hi there On the multi function machine seems to be a coating on the metal rod that the cartridges travel on. Just wipe this rod with a Kleenex and the problem seems to go away. Somehow it presents a drag on the cartridges and causes an error. Myself I would put a little bit of oil after on a cloth and wipe along the bar. Please all I ask is call back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one, so I will keep on helping.

Make sure the recorder is out of the HOLD position. The HOLD switch is like the on/off button to the device. If you move it out of HOLD the device should come on and you should be able to start recording on it.
We own a Jenn-Aire model W27400W oven. The display module has
gradually gone dim over a period of several months prior to the end of
the warranty, and the display is no longer visible. It is apparent
that several Jenn-Aire oven models use the same display. Does Anyone
else have the same problem, and If so, are they willing to join a
class-action suit against Jenn-Aire with us?
