Drive belt snapped what is the cause
There are a couple of reasons for belt snapping.
1-Main drum bearings siezed, thereby caosing excessive friction, and belt to snap.
2-Motor siezed up, again causing excessive frictional wear on belt.
Try spinning drum by hand, it should be free, with no noise from it, if it runbles or feels rough, then drum bearings have failed.
3- Drum pulley loose or cracked, check the pulley for cracks or fractures.
