Unsure of your model here, but generally a drum belt change will require loosening the motor supports, putting the new belt on, then tightening the motor to correct belt tension.

Bowl will not turn or spin in any cycle the machine fills and emptys but the bowl just doesn't agitate

Sounds like either the belt has snapped from drum to motor or the motor has gone its easy to fix just remove the rear panel check to see if the belts snapped put new one on there should be a nut that tightens the belt up on the motor psrt put belt around drum part and motor and move the motor to tighten yhe belt up

hi folks the beko tumble dryers have a felt seal that runs along the front of the drum that wears through causing load on the drum, belt and motor causing the belt to melt and snap, replace the felt you will have no more issues, i got mine off of ebay pretty cheap

Drive belt snapped what is the cause

There are a couple of reasons for belt snapping.

1-Main drum bearings siezed, thereby caosing excessive friction, and belt to snap.
2-Motor siezed up, again causing excessive frictional wear on belt.
Try spinning drum by hand, it should be free, with no noise from it, if it runbles or feels rough, then drum bearings have failed.
3- Drum pulley loose or cracked, check the pulley for cracks or fractures.

Maytag MDG2300BWW dryer drum stopped turning. We can feel the heat and the motor but the drum doesnt rotate. Is this the belt?

Yes it will probably be the belt that has snapped, afraid they can be quite a job to replace as you have to take the drum out of the appliance to get the new belt around the drum. Although it also could be your motor if this has failed it may make a nois but not have th power to turn the drum.

You can open the appliance up by using flat head screwdriver at either end of the lid pushing it into the gap between the frame and the lid and prising it upwards and the top will pop up and you will then be able to see if the belt has snapped
