Tranfering my videos to my Pc

I have a samsung digital camcorder SC-Mx20r and it came with Cyberflink Media Show CD but when I try installing it on my Vista Windows PC it is not working. So is there another way to tranfer or upload my videos to my computer. The Videos are stored on my SD Card. This is my first time doing this a beginner. All help is more definitely appreciated. Thanks much

Your camera came with a USB cable. When you plug it in, your camera acts like a flash drive. Use Windows explorer to find it and transfer your videos to your hard drive that way.

There is a converter available here that will allow you to convert your videos to a format that you can edit with Windows Movie Maker. It's much faster and easier to use than Media Show.

Might not be much of a help, but...

If you have an SD Card slot in your PC you should be able to remove the card from the camera and plug it straight into the laptop.

When i plug the camcorder into PC using USB cable, it is not recognizing the device. Trying to upload video from a recital :(

You'll need to install a driver (on your PC) for the camcorder first .... for the PC to recognize the device. The driver is usually provided in the software CD that came with the camcorder. Or, you may try to search for it on Samsung's website or ask a Tech Support person where to get it.

Cannot create dvd's with my mx20r.

Are you talking about the Cyberlink Media Show? It's really poorly designed. You can get an converter here that will allow you to use your videos with Windows Movie Maker.

Movie maker will create a DVD much quicker.
