Question about Food Processors

Just purchased Russell Hobbs multi processor but can't get the small or large food processor to work the blender works ok. Any thoughts on what I could be doing wrong, is there some trick I'm missing?

Make sure bowl and lid are put on unit correctly

SOURCE: The Blender attachment will not turn, just grinds and smokes.

The motor shaft that spins the teeth that are on the base of the blender may be frozen up for some reason. If you purchased the duet within the last 3 years and have a receipt, call Cuisinart to get it repaired in warranty - even if you don't have a receipt, your serial number may still save you. If you purchased it more than 3 years ago, let me know.

Fixya is not a retail store that actually sells stuff.
We mostly give free advice.
Soooooooo.....
I'd suggest that if you can't get the bowl you need through whomever sells the units, you could try checking with a thrift store (such as the Sally Ann or local hospital auxiliary) to see if you can find the appropriate sized bowl.

This was manufactured a number of years ago by Salton, Inc. which changed its name in 2009 to Russell Hobbs, Inc. which was then purchased by Spectrum Brands in 2010. Typically these low-end consumer products are not carried for more than a couple years and finding parts after these company changes is unlikely.
