Question about Home
When installing a new tub, I recommend never following the manufacturers istructions pertaining to measurements.
That being said.....place the tub on flat ground and measure from the ground to the bottom of the rim on the tub. Now onthe stud wall, you will nail your horizontal boards that the tub rests on at that height. Also give the tub a 1% slope towards the drain (actuallt 1/8" is plenty of difference between the end heights) Test fit the tub multiple times to ensure a correct instillation. When sure the drain end everything line up correctly, place a large box (approx. 40 lbs.) of sheet-rock joint compound on the ground dirctly below where the tub will be placed as a base for eht tub. When you set the tub in place on the wet compound, get in the tub and walk around to make sure the tub is all the way down to the ground. Finish by connecting the plumbing after a week to let the compound dry.
Hope this helps.
