Mitsubishi WS-65809 65 in. Rear Projector

The top left and right corners of screen display a distorted coloration. Its fine at initial startup (powered on)then it comes and goes frequently. What could be the cause of this? I would appreciate any help or advice you can provide me. Thanks in advance, Elijah

I have a Mitsubishi 55"

This set has a convergence problem. You should only need to replace the IC. Part is STK393-110. It sits on the middle board behind the large heatsink. Use a heat transfer compound to ensure repair lasts. If you have no experience soldering (or unsoldering) please use a professional for the work. The traces are fragile and I have fixed many mistakes local DIYers have committed. Goodluck.

WS-55809 - Video pinched in center, distorted, yellow/blue/red glow

This doesn't sound like a programming issue. I had a very similar problem about 6 months ago and I fixed problem. I had cold solder joint on the video power board. It was the board in the middle. The power supply was to the right. The video board had a driver with a bunch of legs. About 7 solder joint where cold or loose. I solder the board and my mitsu wide screen was fixed. Hope this helps.
