How do I change the saw blade?

I am considering purchasing a used Targe Tilematic (ta10100), however I want to make sure that I can change out the blade before I buy it. I can't find any owner's manuals online, and I've had issues in the past with the blade getting rusted onto the nut and having a tough time getting the blade off. Can you tell me what I should look for / try to do when I inspect the saw so I can see if I can get the blade off?

Target saws come with a blade stop for when you're changing blades. and don't forget the nut comes off with reverse threads. so it's not lefty loosy or righty tighty (I never use them terms but some do) but in fact it's just the opposite. You shouldn't have to hit anything on a wet saw with a hammer of any type. Just sayin. I've had several different types of wet saws and the best by far is the Target Tilematic saw. Good choice.

I have been doing tile over 20 years, I've never seen a blade that wont come off , on a great saw like target,or any other professional saw. that saw has a 10 in blade, inspect by lifting the blade gaurd so you can see the nut holding blade on, take a cresent wrench put it on the nut hold the blade with ur left hand and hit the wrench with a rubber mallet. It will come rite off,the nut does not have to be super tight, because it could warp the blade when cutting tile and it puts pressure on the bearing, inspect the motor by turning it on without water pumping it should be pretty quiet,it has a baldor 1 1/2 hp motor awsome motor.good luck

Mod#113.295752 craftman table saw blade is binding trying to adjust it uprite how do i remove table top to see where its binding or what should i look for and does the top have to come off.

I am not familiar with the model so I don't know how the top comes off but usually they aren't held down by much.

Usually it only needs the plastic or aluminium insert to be removed to access the riving knife or to remove the blade.

A maladjusted riving knife is a common cause of a "catching" blade.

It is worth considering, when such saws arrive they usually need calibrating, which often means semi-dismantling the saw and rebuilding it with a higher degree of precision than the factory can muster - using a large trusted set square, an accurate blade height gauge, etc.
It is also worth considering many modern table saws also have an electric brake that is supposed to stop the blade in a couple of seconds when the power is switched off.

New to table saw use, have my husbands old 10 craftsman, was learning to rip with it doing fine, then it started to bog down during cut until the blades stops, moving. put on a new blade and noticed...

If I understood correctly, you started using your husband's table saw and while ripping boards, you managed to stall out the blade AND motor?! If that's the case, you probably have a very dull blade and are binding your board on the blade. Neither is safe and it sounds like trouble is brewing.

First and foremost, get someone to show you how to safely and properly use and adjust the saw if you are new to wood working and power tools. That saw is capable of turning your lumber into a high speed missal if you do things improperly.

It also sounds like you tried installing a new 10" saw blade. Changing the blade requires 2 wrenches. One to hold the arbor and one to tighten the nut. The blade itself should rest on the arbor between two large washers. Also make sure you install the blade so the front face of the cutter teeth face you and rotate toward you. Make sure the saw is unplugged when changing the blade and never turn on your saw with a loose blade.

Hello. Since the saw doesn't sound like it had a ground attached, I would begin by checking the motor to be sure that it is ok. here is an excellent link that explains exactly how to do just that:

How do i change the blade on my delta 10" mitre saw

Exploded diagram for your SM100M miter saw is here.
User manual is here.

Page 20 covers blade change operation.

Make sure you unplug your saw! You need to remove a screw from the cover and rotate the cover to the rear. Use a hex wrench in the motor shaft to keep the saw blade from turning, and loosen the arbor nut with a 1/2" wrench. The arbor is reverse threaded, so you'll turn it clockwise to loosen, then counterclockwise to tighten it up after you have swapped the blade.
Rotate the cover back after that's done, and replace the screw.

If this was useful, please vote. Thanks.

Blade comes out while sawing

I have used the same tool. Make sure that the blade release/ hold tab is engaged. Maybe the return spring is fouled or stuck. Try some lubricant.

Wobble blade /rough cuts

You may wanna check the Conveyor Cart Wheel. Replacing this wheel maintains smooth rolling action which contributes to straight, chip-free cuts.

It costs for only about $28.72. Here, you may check this link if you wish to buy the Conveyor Cart Wheels:

Unfortunately, I couldn't find any service center where you can bring your Target Tile saw for repair. But you may check the manufacturer's contact number on the user's manual.

Have a great day!
