Question:
*All Heaters*-Where can I get parts for my heater?
Answer:
Unfortunately, we do not have any replacement parts available online for heaters. You can obtain parts by calling consumer relations at 800-332-1110. The only parts currently available are replacement wheels for oil filled heaters. If you are looking for any other parts, please call us or send an email to [email protected] and let us know the model number of the heater, the length of time you have owned it for, and a detailed description of what is wrong with it.
Question:
All Heaters-Can I use an extension cord with my heater?
Answer:
You should avoid the use of an extension cord as it may overheat. However, if you have to use an extension cord , be sure it is a polarized cord of 14 AWG minimum and rated no less than 1875 watts.

I could find no recall on you product. They do not supply parts. I am sure you can match up the plug and cord at any good hardware or appliance parts store. Are you sure it is the cord? The element could be shorted out.
DO you have an ohm, meter or small batter light tester to tes t the cord and eliments with?

If you look at the cord it should tell you what kind of wire it is....... If not most of the little heater use 16ga stranded wire rated for 105degree C at 300 volts.

These heaters last about three years, and are throw aways, unless you have some in the ole shed like I do.Checking the switches is the first thing to do,remove them to see if they are burned up on the other side where the connection is.If they are, that could be the smell,or the thermostat is melted down, and smelling, again, throw away,,or save it,and buy a new one,and you will have parts for when it goes out,if the switches are melted down,a compatible switch,if found, can be replaced in the heater, but something made the switches melt down, most likely a heating element in the tanks, non replacable.
