I tried to update the bios of my computer and now my computer can't boot up. it gives me 2 beeps and no display. I have tried to go to different sites on the internet to fix it but I have not been able. I know I have other easier choices 1) buy another mother board 2) buy the bios chip and 3) tried to recover my bios with an emergy bios disk but I don't know how to make it. Please, let me know aspa.

and compare that is your BIOS updated ? If not, I suggest first update your BIOS to the latest version and see if error is removed ? Try Load Optimal Settings of BIOS. If fail, then try resetting the BIOS. If you have install anything new, try to boot by removing the new device. I suggest from the above URL, you can download the manual of the mother board. I hope trying these steps will remove your problem.
check the battery for the mother board memory. flat battery can make it no startup. also if that is fine remover the hard drive lead and turn on if it comes on then the hard drive is causing the fault. do same with rom's.
You're Foxconn board uses the Award bios. The long beeps you are hearing are telling you there is a problem with you're memory. You're pic does not look like the Foxconn P9657AB-8EKRS2H MB as shown in the user manual. Found on This link. http://www.foxconnchannel.com/product/Motherboards/detail_overview.aspx?ID=en-us0000297 The pic on Foxconn's site does but not the manual listed. The motherboard uses four 240-pin slots with 1.8V for DDR2 memory only. (Question? Did you're ECS MB use DDR2 memory)? If you have more than 1 DIMM installed remove all but 1. Move the DIMM into the closest slot next to the CPU. Boot the PC & check for beeps. If still presant move the DIMM to the next slot & try again. Continue this through all four slots. Than try another DIMM. If the mother board continues to beep as mentioned than call Foxconn. (There is a bios update mentioned below for memory). The CPU may come into question. (It’s revision). You may have to call Foxconn for this information. (580-272-0035). They do not place this information in their user manual. Most users have to call. The rev of the CPU may conflick with the memory causing you to receive the bios beeps. (I have had to return 2 boards for this reason). I picked an Asus board over Foxconn. I have come across this with Foxconn motherboards these past two years. Suggest you update you’re bios. Foxconn has a revision dated, 3-28-2008 for memory before you call. After bios update test the memory again for beeps. Still there? Return the board is my suggestion. It’s a guess that the red led will go away after the memory issue has been addressed. Normally there is a green led on most motherboards. This means standby. The board has power connected. I could not find any reference in the user manual * .pdf, for R450. Good Luck ninjo61! Mike
the problem might lie in the fact that the mother board and cpu cannot be handled at the speed
or it requires the jumpers to be set by so that the cpu can be clocked properly if you got a mother board spec guide follow the guide for *********** board to set up 3.2
you might also have to set the bios to the cpu speed cause if mother board doesnt do jumpers no more the setting would be in bios
hit the delete key direct are power up this will take you to bios
its not the battery
beeps on motherboard can mean 3 things:
1. memory out (or corupted)
2. vga card out (or corupted)
3. mother board is corupted
try to take out the memory and the vga card and place them back on
you can go and read you motherboard manual and look exactly what 3 beeps means..
