Re: Need to upload music in my panasonic sv-mp730v
You don't need any software. You only have to put the device on and then plug it to the usb port then it will have an usb connetion and you can put your files in the player.

all you have to do is eject the usb and plug it in to a usb port on your computer, the same way you upload music to it, if not in use it will automatically charge. :)
According to this description on Amazon, your model uses SD memory cards:
http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-SVAV20-Digital-Camcorder-Camera/dp/B00008OLBN
Then you should have 2 options:
(1) The easiest is to remove the SD memory card from the SV-AV20 and insert it into an SD card reader (many available, starting from below $10). The SD card reader will have a USB connector so you can plug it into a USB port on your computer. Your computer (Windows or Mac) should recognize that you've inserted this and show the data on the SD card as a removable storage device.
(2) Clunkier option is to use the USB cable that typically comes with digital cameras -- these require the camera to be turned on. If you're unlucky, you may have to install camera-specific software on your computer to recognize the device. Since I hate adding extra software to my computer, I far prefer option #1 above, which works universally.
Hope this helps.

you can get a lenmar CLIP battery charger that works through USB to just charge the battery.
you can charge a lot of other batteries too but you will need to use the docking to upload your pics to PC or use a card reader.
hi, i'm not sure where you're from but i just bought the battery at sim lim square in singapore for the model SV-MP730V (Penasonic). they have a website to it, you may want to look it up to see if there is any near your place website: http://www.battery.com.sg email: [email protected]
should have at least windows 2000 sp4 or xp sp1 as operating system. plug into usb port on computer while computer is turned on. computer should recognize and install it as mass storage usb device and assign it a drive letter. sometimes xp will recognize it as a panasonic mtp device. this doesn't matter, you can still drag and drop files on it through windows explorer file manager.
player has problems with windows media player 11. works with wmp 10. player also has problems with vista. firmware was designed for xp. no firmware updates available. you can try dragging and dropping through windows explorer, treating it as a usb mass storage device. it will play folders and songs this way. to get vista to recognize it, format the player through the player's menu ( set-system-format ) not through the computer. take out the battery for 15 minutes. reboot your computer. put battery back in. plug into usb port. hopefully vista recognizes it as usb device
format the player from the player ( set-system menu) not from the computer. pull the battery from the player and leave it out for 15 minutes.
reboot your computer. put the battery back in the player.
plug it into the usb port on the computer. worked for me
When the battery is charged it should appear as a USB storage device to your operating system. You can interrupt the charging by pressing the `mode' button if your battery is good.
I found with my (SV-MP730V) that with a duff battery, I got the symptoms you describe ... now I have to find a new battery!
