Supply memory error

There is a protective plastic clip over the cartridge chip. Remove the orange plastic and it will quit giving you the supply memory error. Refer to figure 6

Hp laserjet m1522nf 10.1000 supply memory error

Most likely the Orange Clip that surrounds the sensor contacts on the front edge of the cartridge was not removed. Open the machine, look at your cartridge, make certain that any clips or protectors are removed, clean the contacts if in doubt and reseat the cartridge... your problem should be solved.

Are you using HP toner? Try reseating the cartridge. If it's still getting the error, replace the cartridge.

I keep getting a service hang report, it says HP CUE DeviceDiscovery failed upon startup. When I go to windows reports and solutions it says a minidump.MDMP error.

change the following services.

Click on the Start button, then type "services.msc" in the "run" dialog box and click OK.
in case of vista/win7 type it in "start & search" box(you can find it once you click on windows logo)....

Set as "Automatic" the startup type for:
-Windows Firewall

Set as "Manual" the startup type for:
-HP Network Devices Support
-HP CUE DeviceDiscovery Service

you can right click on the particular service and click on properties....then change the startup type....
this issue will fix for sure....

pls do rate if its found useful...

HP Photosmart C6180 goes Offline in Vista

Solution A:

Download and install this Critical Update for your printer directly from HP.

Solution B:

There have been cases where if the PC is turned off or goes into hibernate this can occur. To work around this issue the "HP CUE DeviceDescovery Service" must be disabled:

1) Click on the "Start Menu" icon on the bottom left corner of the screen, type "services.msc" in the "Start Search" edit box, and hit enter. This will trigger Vista to pop-up a "User Account Control" dialog to prompt for permission to continue. Click "Continue" to allow Vista to open the Services management console application.

2) The Services management console application is made up of 2 panels. The right panel contains a list of all services available on the system. Scroll thru this list and look for a service called "HP CUE DeviceDiscovery Service".

3) Right-click on "HP CUE DeviceDiscovery Service" and select "Properties" to open the "HP CUE DeviceDiscovery Service Properties" dialog.

4) From the "HP CUE DeviceDiscovery Service Properties" dialog, click on the "General" tab. If the "Service status" shows that the service has started, click on the "Stop" button to force the service to stop.

5) Change the "Start type" to "Disabled" and click on the "OK" button on the bottom of the dialog to apply the changes.

Solution C:

1. Set the printer to a static IP address
2. Logon to the machine as the administrator or with admin rights.
3. Remove/Reinstall the printer using the IP address

Scanner could not find required user interface files

I've had the same problem although with a HP Laserjet 3392. In order for the scanner to work it needs two services to run. (In Windows Xp goto CONTROL PANNEL, then ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS and then SERVICES.)

The following two services was dissabled 1) HP CUE DeviceDiscovery Service and 2) HPQCXS08

I've changed the STARTUP-TYPE to AUTOMATIC for both services and the start them also manually. If you system is not using these two files go into the SYSTEM Event Viewer and look for error messages from the DCOM source just after you have tried a scan. These errors should give you an idea where to search
