You need to clean out the sprinklers. they do get clogged up with hard water, there is a screw top holding the sprinkler to the pump line. and pull off. put it in some warm water with some vinegar and clean it out.

SOURCE: maytag dishwasher mdb9600awb - loud pump

This has happened a few times to me as well.(VERY VERY LOUD NOISE AT THE BOTTOM)I have the same model It did stop.I did a little reading and came to the conclusion that it was the built in food disposer chopping blades were chopping up something like a cherry pit or peach pit and once an end of a wooden spoon that dropped down.If you look at your USE and care Guide on page 12 under trouble shooting "Dishwasher seems noisy"..I went through the same thing taking things apart. Its got to be it. Mine is 2 1/2 years as well. Hope this helps. [email protected]

SOURCE: dishwasher not washing

By chance have you cleaned the spray arm out lately? There could be something blogging the water from getting into the arm. In most dishwashers, the arm only spins because water pressure makes it spin.

SOURCE: Kitchenaid dishwasher KUDP01IL upper spray

Just had the same problem, and fixed it. Spray arms turn with proper water pressure in the pipes. 3 reasons can lower the water pressure. 1-pump motor losing power (wasn't my case) 2- cracked pipe (wasn't my case either, pipes, although plastics, seem to be very solid) and 3- debris in the pipes/filters. (It was my case) At first, it looks difficult to reach de filters, but it isn't.
1- Remove both baskets, the top one by removing the front plastic cap on the rails.
2- Remove the "+" bottom spray arm, by unscrewing counterclockwise (if I remember well...) the plastic screw dead center of it (use your fingers.)
3- Remove the three screws you see, but don't try to remove the filter part right away because there is a 4th screw under the leading water pipe, the one leading water to the top spray arms.
4-To remove the 4th screw, you must remove the plastic pipe that connect with the top spray arms. Easy. It's beeing held there by two clips, one on the back wall and one on the top wall. Just spread them with your fingers (or screwdriver) and turn the pipe toward the right side, to free the bottom part of the pipe from the middle/bottom spray arm holder, you'll have to bent it a little so it passes over the heating element.
5- Remove the last screw. Now there's nothing holding the bottom part anymore. just remove by moving it back and forth left and right (to loose it up), be carefull not to lose the clear plastic washers on the main shaft when removing. Now if your dishwasher is like mine (should be) you should see a lot of debris that couldn't reach the chopping device. In fact, the water couldn't flow properly because of all the debris stocked there by the bottom drain filter. Patio screws (?) small chicken bones, etc...
6- If you can find something to pump the water resting at bottom there, (I used a Prestone coolant tester!) you'd have a better view, and could remove the single screw holding the chopping device cap in place. That's the last step. Notice that the chopping device cap, even after the screw is removed, still look like firmly attached, like "glued", but there's absolutely nothing else holding the cap. Just shake it with your hand and it will eventually come off. Now you remove all the dirt/debris you see there, and then follow thw step back the rebuild the washing machine. On my part, it brought it back like if it was brand new..., but, now I'm being a little more carefull about the stuff I'm putting in there...
I hope it can help, English is not my first language.
Good luck

My Lamona dishwasher HJA 8650 lower spray arm wont rotate, water is spyaying out and nothing in place to stop it rotating, can you help?

Sounds like the pump that pushes the water up to the spray arm is going south on you.
Check to see if the pump or any of the piping, or sprayer arm jets are clogged.

Dishwasher fills up, but doesn't spray.

You may have debris in the sprayer arm jets. It is usually simple to remove the sprayer arms. Then rinse them well using the sink sprayer for forceful water power. I have sometimes had to use a tweezer to remove bits of plastic, paper, bone, or food particles. Once you've remove the debris, rinse well forcing water through to dislodge any other debris. Once you've reattached the sprayer arms, you should have cleaner dishes. Also, some brands of dishwashers have a pipe that runs up the inside back wall and connects to a pipe that runs under the top shelf. Water flowing through this pipe under the top shelf propels the sprayer arms. If the connection at the back is not flush with the "propel" pipe there won't be enough water pressure to turn the sprayer arm. Check to see if your dishwasher has this type of set up.
I hope this works. If it does, please let Fixya know by rating my solution.
Good luck!

The top sprayer is not spraying any water and the middle sprayer has water except it does not have enough pressure of water to spin around the sprayers. What do I need to do to fix the problem

All sprayed water comes from the pump located at the lower deck. Remove all parts from the lower spray assembly (note position and orientation of each part) down to the deck. There should be a large filter screen at the bottom that commonly becomes plugged with food and hard water deposits. Soak the screen in a mixture of hot water, white vinegar, and dish detergent for an hour or two until the deposits come free. Check around the pump area and the deck openings for any debris plugging. Reassemble in reverse order, but check all three spray arms for spray hole plugging or split seams. Hope this helps!

I have a 1998 chrysler concord and i can get windsheild washer fluid to spray the resevoir is full no fluid is leaking out the wipers activate upon initiating the spray sequence but no fluid comes out

Pull out the small tube connected to the jet the fluid comes out of and check for any kind of debris, after blowing out the tube try and activate washer before you connect the hose again if no fluid comes out of the tube than that replace the small pump connected to the resivoir thay are about $15.00

Asko1585 sprayer arm not working

Most likely the circulation pump. On this pump there is mounted a condensator. This will help the pump to get started. If this is broken, it wont circulate the water up to the sprayers.

Top sprayer wont spin . dishwasher goes through cycles and only partially cleans. bottom sprayer does spin.

The sprayers are not powered but rely on the water pressure to spin them. If it's not spinning it could be
the spinner isn't engaging in the top rack as you slide it in
blocked jets on the spray arm
blocked feedpipe to the spray arm
faulty pump

Most dishwashers are fairly easy to dismantle to check the first few

Dishwasher comes on, fills with water, water heats, no movement of the arms so no water spraying out, then the water drains, it goes through the dry cycle and no clean dishes.

What is the manufacturer and model number of your dishwasher?
Depending on the model and design, the sprayer motor/pump has probably failed and the drain motor/pump is still working.
Recommend you pull the sprayer arm and filter. Look for debris that could be jamming the pump - watch out for broken glass when looking.
Make sure the impeller can spin and is not damaged.
If that does not fix the problem, replace the wash motor / pump or replace the entire dishwasher with an Energy Star qualified name brand model.
Good Luck!

Frigidaire Model FDB780RCB0 I am getting water in the machine but it seems the arms are not turning what can I do to get that fixed?

The pump in the dishwasher is supposed to provide enough water pressure to turn the spray arms and make them rotate. The pump is faulty and not giving enough pressure or the arms are stuck.
Try spinning the arms, if they rotate smoothly, you will need to replace the pump.

Dishwasher not spraying

It could be a motor or a pump issue. The dishwasher has a motor that attached to a pump which forces the water up into the sprayer arms and during the drain cycle, it pushes the water out of the dishwasher. The motor (and pump) located beneath the dishwasher. Good luck!

Maytag jet clean model#dwc7400aaw

Check to see in you have enough water in tank. The dishwasher fills then recirculates this water under pressure. If you have water in tank, listen to see if motor is running or not. If it is, you may have clogged jet holes in the wash arms.
