The solution to your problem is to not buy this junk from Wal_mart in the first place. You won't find any replacement P.S. anywhere. might be able to use the cable co remote and autosearch thru the codes, but its too hard to explain, the cable tech should have ran that procedure. unfortunately, rca has 50 million models. it is common to have a tv and yes rca for sure, to not take the codes. sometimes the tv is too new for the cable company remotes to work. i am leaning toward the tv too new theory. give it six months and i bet there will be a new remote version.

Close the the unit up as you had before opening. Take the unit to a service centre and have them fix it. They don't have manuals to repair so, when they say, "We can't fix this" you take the work order and call1877-297-8391 and they will get you a new tv
