Viewsonic cde 3201/led inner panel cracked. can it be fixed?

Is the status LED light on at all, if so what color is showing? if the LED doesn't even't light up, then the power supply is gone. Also, have you try using another power cable?

Check the help file for this info.see if ur LED monitor brand is there in the list of LED monitors compatibilities with Windows 8.Not u probobally have to replaced it with a new LED monitor it is compatible with Windows 8.Or U just have a seperate speaker system just hook up to ur sound card this should work fine.

Defective power board can cause of on and off the led power, the boated electrolytic capacitor of secondary power supply and inverter area, shorted semiconductor of inverter area. The electronics repairman can fix this.

When the panel is cracked its cheaper to replace the complete TV.

We got the part in today and the hubby fixed the tv. It is as good as new. We are very happy with our $62 purchase.

It worked like a charm and took about 10 minutes to put in new part and put tv back together.

Is it an HP or a Viewsonic screen ?

Either way, looks like a power supply problem to me, some Viewsonic screens are known to have a problem with their inner power supply card, If your screen is still under warranty I suggest you don't lose time analysing the problem and just make them come and fix/replace it

The plasma usually has 2 sheets of glass, the outer one sounds ok which is not good news as these can be replaced.
The inner panel is the actual plasma layer and if it is craked or broken it usually requires a swapout for a new panel.
