Does anything happen at all when you try to open it? For instance, are there any error messages? Have you tired reinstalling it? Would also help to know what Operating System you're running...Windows (XP, Vista, 7, 8)? Mac (Lion, Snow Leopard)? Linux?

SOURCE: Google Chrome Error

Hi,

What you need to do is,
right click your file so you bring up the options menu of solutions such as Delete, Rename, etc. If you’re running Vista you should have the option to click “Run as Administrator” simply click this (ensure you have administrator priveledges, else wise this may not work) and it’ll pop up asking you if you’re sure, click yes.

This should launch the installer and fix it!
Hope my info fixes your problem.....
Thanx.........Dont forget to vote me......

SOURCE: how to install avg security

Hi booc dave,

This tool is available in all editions of AVG 2011. If you choose to install the toolbar during the installation of AVG, it will be added to Microsoft Internet Explorer and/or Mozilla Firefox.
The AVG Security Toolbar is a tool that works together with the LinkScanner component and checks the search results of supported Internet search engines (Yahoo!, Google, Bing, Baidu, Yandex, Ask.com, AOL, Seznam.cz).

Well both Chrome and open office you can uninstall then reinstall from downloads from the net.

Just make sure you back up your data to a separate medium first.

Install Google Chrome on Ubuntu

This is a guide to help you install Google Chrome on Ubuntu Hardy Heron, there are other ways, but this is the one that works for me, hope it will help you.

Ready to give it a shoot?

Step 1 - Update WINE
In order for the Chrome installation on Ubuntu to be successful you have to update your WINE version to 1.1.4.
Type (or copy) this in to your command line -
wget -q http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/apt/387EE263.gpg -O- | sudo apt-key add -
sudo wget http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/apt/sources.list.d/hardy.list -O /etc/apt/sources.list.d/winehq.list
sudo apt-get update

Step 2 – Get all necessary software

Winetricks is a script that will allow you to get all the necessary software you need for this installation.
The last command below will install Firefox into WINE, this is needed for the third step.

wget http://www.kegel.com/wine/winetricks
mv winetricks /usr/sbin/
winetricks riched20 riched30 flash msxml3 corefonts firefox

Install Firefox into WINE.

Step 3 - Installing Chrome

Once you have installed Firefox into WINE, launch Firefox in WINE and go to - http://www.google.com/chrome/
Download and run Chrome setup.

Step 4 – Launch Google Chrome

Once the download and install are complete, type this command to launch Chrome -

wine “$HOME/.wine/drive_c/windows/profiles/$USER/Local Settings/Application Data/Google/Chrome/Application/chrome.exe” –no-sandbox –new-http

Hope this worked for you and you can use Google Chrome off of you Ubuntu system.

Google chrome won't open

Might be due to antivirus or firewall block.,
Test whether antivirus or firewall applications on your computer are causing the problem by turning them off temporarily. Then try opening Google Chrome again.
If you're able to open the browser, you'll need to create an exception in your antivirus or firewall settings for Google Chrome. Once you've done so, you can then re-enable the applications.
https://support.google.com/chrome/answer...
Else try the below steps.,
1.Right click the Chrome application from Start --> All Programs --> Google Chrome (or shortcut if 2.you launch Chrome from a desktop shortcut)
3.Select Properties
4.Select the Compatibility tab
5.In the Compatibility mode section, ensure checkbox is ticked for "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"?

Google chrome

Have you made an changes to you computer recently? Did you install a new program, download an add-on to Chrome etc. I suspect that something is interfering with chrome working properly. One thing to try is to look over your plug-ins and add-ons within chrome. Also, it could have something to do with a recent update to chrome.

Can notr get google

Google Chrome is a free Internet browser made by Google.
It can be used on computers running the Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems.
If you are having problems with Google Chrome (slow connection, freezes or crashes), you should consider reinstalling the program.
To reinstall Google Chrome, you need to first uninstall the program.
After that, you can reinstall it by using the following directions.

Go to http://www.google.com/chrome to download the browser.
Select "Download Google Chrome."
Read the service terms and select "Accept and Install."
You cannot install Google Chrome without accepting the terms of service.
Select "OK". This will open the package.
Select "Install Package" and allow the installation to complete.
Choose "Close."
In order to open Google Chrome, you must go to "Applications," then select "Internet" and choose "Google Chrome."
Reinstall Google on A Windows Computer
Go to http://www.google.com/chrome to download the browser.
Select "Download Google Chrome."
Read the service terms and then select "Accept and Install."
You cannot install Google without accepting the terms of service.
After you accept, the installation will begin automatically.
Allow the installation to finish.
A dialog box will appear
Select "Start Google Chrome".
That will complete its installation and the browser will open automatically.
Reinstall Google on a Mac Computer
Go to http://www.google.com/chrome to download the browser.
Select "Download Google Chrome."
Read the service terms and then select "Accept and Install."
As with the other operating systems, you can't install Google Chrome without accepting the terms of service.
Open the file labeled "Google Chrome.dmg."
A Google Chrome window will open up.
Drag that Chrome icon from the window that opened up to the desktop.
This will start installation.
Open the browser.
The Finder will have you confirm that you want to open the application you downloaded from the Internet.
Select "Open."
You must select this to open the program.
Unlike Windows computers, Macs don't automatically open programs after installation.

Cannot open Google Chrome

you need to perform a full manual uninstall of chrome. sounds like you know your way around a computer, you should go ahead and give this a shot (be sure to delete the folder on the last step)
most of chrome resides in a folder under your user account directory. getting rid of the bad install and then re installing the latest version of chrome from google should set you straight.

After Chrome uninstall Web page icons gone

I fully agree and sympathize with you.

I faced a similar problem and here is the solution for it.

First uninstall Google Chrome (From what you have written; you have already uninstalled it).

Go to "Set Default Programs" (Control Panel>Default Programs>Set Default Programs)

Select Internet Explorer and click Set this program as default

Select Microsoft Office Outlook and click Set this program as default

Run Registry Editor (regedit.exe) and browse to location: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Ext and change the value data of all DWORD entries from 1 to 0.

Launch Internet Explorer first; launch your Mail client (hopefully Microsoft Officer Outlook).

Check if all is well and you are now able to open links from within your Mail client.

If all is well now, you may change your Default Program settings to Firefox.

P.S. Just remember to say thanks :) and you can always change the Firefox icons, you do know how?
