Hi I am having Nikon L100 since 2009. Problem: Nikon Coolpix L100 battery holder has some groves which are broken( due to wear and tear) which helps holding up the battery lid. Is there any way to fix the problem?

I'm affraid, only a new housing (or at least the part where the battery holder sits) should solve this problem.
There are 4 batteries pushing against the door so when the groves are broken out of the housing it will be difficult to glue anything in place. If it should be my camera, I should try to work with some glass fiber and a two-component adhesive. But not every material will accept glue.
If you never have worked with two-component adhesive don't start at all.

SOURCE: Nikon Coolpix 2100/3100/3200 battery compartment door latch broken (again)

I just purchased a new battery door for $15 with shipping from nikon. They sent a simple assembly diagram and I was able to replace the door in 30 minutes. I used a dremel to cut the old door off, but you dont have to do that. I got a little impatient.

Just buy the plastic piece and u can reuse the metal parts for your old battery door.

Wont do nothing ( and yes put new batteries in it)

Hi, this Nikon is experiencing core failure. the micro board is damaged. now, when this board becomes unstable, the core program is lost. in this case, the power sector is damaged as well, due to circuit malfunctions. this will normally render the cam useless.

Due to the nature of this issue, you will need to contact Nikon for a repair ticket and the nearest location of a repair depot. these parts are not available to the public and, all nikon repairs are done in house.

Battery Cover latch is broken

what camera is it ??
Due to the frequency of changing batteries on my camera, I have 'dremelled' a very fin pin hole through teh side of the case, and into the battery holder.
Then opened the case hole up to accept a small screw, then allowed the scre to tap itself into the battery housing.
Small phillips screw nice and flush on the case now.
Works for me, and could save you money and tape !!
