Remote Control The original remote that came with the TV was destroyed. I have bought 4 different universal remote's to replace it. The code's that are given for Durabrand, doesn't give hardly any functionability to the universal remote. This TV is in my bedroom, which is split from the cable box in the living room. Does that have something to do with the functionability of the universal remote? Or is there another code that I can use for maximum functionability? Or can I get a replacement remote control (duplicate to the original)?

If you get an universal remote, you won't have all functions to control the TV. Moreover, the codes for many audiovox model are often not reported on universal remote manuals , therefore you may need to use autodetect feature on universal remote.

Instructions with universal remote will say how to program, then look up the code in the booklet that comes with it, or try the above site to get the 3 or 4 digit code to program it to work.

If the manufacturer of the universal remote cannot give you codes for the Symphonic you are out of luck. U will either have to get an original replacement or get a Harmony universal remote.

just replace the infrared diode of your remote control in you dont know how to do that..ask the tecnician to change in infrered diode in your remote control
