This error is a 1.wrong ink cartridge installed to the printer 2 not genuine Hp carts and sometimes a refilled inks installed to your printer.
3.this is a remanufactured printer.
4 sometimes if the ink carts are already expire try to see the warranty date of the ink carts it is on the ink carts itself.

try this one if it works.

1. you need to turn on your AIO.
2uninstall the ink carts
3.unplug the power cable from your printer without turning off the AIO on the on/off button.
4press the # and 6 at the same time tho' the printer is off.
5plug the power cable back in and don't release the buttons yet until the small screen on the printer becomes blank or off.
6then release after.
7then the semi full reset performs. you need to change the settings and choose a language u want.
8 that is a factory reset.
9.after that if you are prompted with ink cartridge is missing install now the ink cartridges.
10 press the setup button. and its ready to go.
11. if this won't work try to call the support center and they can be able to help you out about that one. but make it sure that ink cartridges are genuine.
hope this helps.

Hi dear why my mfc8840d can't switch from fax function to copy and scan function

It sounds like you have some sort of printer error, you can try holding the stop button as you power up it will either tell you the error or clear it so you can copy and scan again.

Getting error 0xd0620230. Could you help

I managed to track down some information that may be able to help you. Power off your printer, then press &hold buttons while powering on. If it doesnt reset then unplug it & press & hold buttons while plugging it in.
# & 3 Partial reset
# & 6 Semi full reset
# & 9 Full reset
A full reset will clear any stored information in th printer, speed dials ect. So always start with a partial reset and work your way up.
I hope this helps.

Hi,

It might be a hardware issue however u can try the following basic troubleshooting steps .

Unplug the power cord from the back of the unit . try to move teh carriage manually .

perform a reset as well .

1
Take out the cartridges from the unit .
2
Make sure the unit is connected to the wall jack directly without any surge protector.
3
Unplug the power cord from the back of the unit ( without turning off the unit ) .
4
Now press the # and 6 key together , while holding these keys down plug in the power cord back into the unit .
5
Do not release the keys after a few seconds u will find te hp logo or bars moving across the screen .wait while the unit turns off.
6
after one minute turn on the prnter . it will go into alligment phase > let it finish .
7
after its done > try to make a copy .

Note - you can also try the Ok n cancel key combination in place of # and 6
