This fault is technically called 'retraced lines'. There are many reasons for this fault. It will be best to contact any service technician. If the screen voltage to CRT is abnormal [higher than normal]; this kind of fault can occur. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. I have seen this on quite a few Mits's as they are getting to that age. This is usually related to bad caps in the signal path. I could go into more detail if I knew the exact Model Number (it will start with WS or VS) Example VS-60609. But the caps are usually near the 5v regulators.

The failure(s) in your TV is related to a part called light engine or optical block and Sony TVs are known for these kind of failures with the video showing with different colors or lines.

YOU HAVE THE DREEDED CAPACITORS GOING OUT...AFTER A FEW YEARS-THE CAPS LOOSE THERE PURPOSE AND DEPENDING ON WHAT CIRCUIT THERE IN --YOU WILL SEE THE ASSOCIATED PROBLEM,,,EXAMPLE--COULD BE SOUND ,PICTURE (YOURS) OR VERTICAL(PICTURE CLOSING UP) ETC... YOU CAN HAVE CHECKED BY A REPAIRMAN BUUUUT ,MAY NOT BE COST EFFECTIVE ,,TUNICA

Check the cabel TV or antenna conection first. And check the tv with a DVD player or VCR too if work thats a problem.

Some TV forget the settings after a power lost, so try to set the stations again.

Is the problem there on every source? DVD playback ok?
Suspect signal source  box.

May have bad connection since move.

Is the problem same on every channel,if source is cable direct?

replace the signal board (one with all the rca's on it) and not the main board if a plain antenna works OK
