Viking range burners won't light

I have a 48" range with 6 burners, a grill and 2 ovens. the two back left burners and the smaller oven (on the left side) won't light. the gas is flowing and i'm hearing the clicking sound it usually makes to light, but it isn't lighting up. they have been working for almost a year and just recently stopped working. the other four burners, the grill, and the main oven are all working properly.

All of these ranges have a spark module at each burner sight and they all click when ever you attempt to light one burner. Therefore, it can not be assummed that the spark module for those nonworking burners are actually clicking. Remove the burner covers and actually look for the sparks. If there is no spark make sure the connections are nice and tight. IF they are, you most likely need to replace the spark module.

I have a Viking 48 6 Burner, Grill Professional Series Dual Fuel Range - VDSC485-6Q Dual Fuel Oven. When I try to use both ovens at the same time they shut off.

Have you got the correct supply to it for both ovens to operate? You'd be best off having it looked at by a service engineer, as they can carry out all the relevant checkers to ensure the gas and electric are adequate for the kw rating of your appliance

If there is power to the unit (lights turn on) I would check the fuses and switches especially the one for door lock mechanism if you noticed a glitch. But a lot of times if you experiences problems after running a self-cleaning function, including locked door issue, the solution could be as simple as resetting a switch and no actual replacement parts needed. It all depends. If you are in Los Angeles, we could send a Viking repairman the same day you call us. : Viking Appliance Repair

Viking range burners won't light

from I review I found it might be this...Simple replacement of Glow Bar igniter requires removal of entire front panel with many screws
so sounds like your igniter might be shot - it heats up to ignite the burners - easy fix - get a long torch lighter and just light the gas after turning it on -

You can call Viking and they will know for sure.I would think,as it is of comercial quality, that there may be a wire or more on the back. Most likely to connect to an ANSUL system,a type of fire suppression. It could also be for a vent hood or some attachment like a rotisserie. You can call them at 1-888-VIKING1 (1-888-845-4641).

Viking model vdsc4874gss small oven works fine large oven element on bottom only gets hot in cleaniong mode, fan comes on when dial is turned to convection but no heat power is on light works

One thing that you can check is make sure that you have 220 volts at the plug. Leave the unit unplugged and check continuity on the burners. You should have continuity on the burners.

Ignitor won't shut off

The Viking manual says that an ignitor that continues to try to light even after the burner has been lit indicates improper grounding, and that an electrician should be consulted.

Perhaps you could try to replace the ignitor, and see if that fixes the problem?

I have a similar age, 6-burner 36" rangetop.

Viking range top 2 burners won't light

Either the igniters are at fault (which is usually the case when one or two are not working) or the entire oven ignition system needs to be replaced and can be done through Viking themselves whether you want them to replace it or you yourself replace it, you can get the part through them.
