:unable to print the wireless printer hl2170w

This is one of the common connectivity issues marring the benefits of having a wireless printer. In this situation your printer will not print when connected wirelessly but would need you to set it up with your system using a USB cable. Try resetting the IP of your system to what is mentioned in the printer and in case there is a router connecting your printer and system then use the IP address of router and put it in your system. This should help you fix this printer issue.

How i fix Error 105 (net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED?

Changing the DNS settings to 8.8.8.8. and 8.8.4.4. on BOTH the modem/router AND on each pc on my network in the Tcp/Ip lan or wan settings (in detail bellow) solved this ERROR 105 issue for me,

To change DNS settings (in Win 7) go to Control Panel / Network and Internet / Network and Sharing Center (may be listed as "View Network Status and Tasks" in control panel)

Next click on your connection (Local area network or Wireless area network)

click on Properties

select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IP v4)

click on Properties (yes, again, but this is a different window)

click Advanced and select the DNS tab

Select any DNS addresses here and Click remove. Make sure there are non left

Click OK. you should now be back at the "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IP v4)" window

without altering the IP settings at the top, select "Use The Following DNS Server Addresses"

in the first area write 8 . 8 . 8 . 8 .
in the second write 8 . 8 . 4 . 4 .

next either:

1 select "Validate Settings Upon Exit" and press ok
or
2 press ok and then restart the network connection for changes to take effect
(In other words find your connection in "Network and Sharing Center" and click the
"Connect or Disconnect" option above it to disconnect, then select connect to a network in the
same window, select your network and click connect")

Windows live sync will not connect

This is the last IP before it his the service provider. Basically your modem router IP will be the gateway.

I had a similar problem configuring an IP webcam. The camera had a built in router and was wireless. So the footage captured went through its own router, over wireless, into another router (the modem) and out over adsl. I had to put the modem/router IP into the dns box on the camera menu.

Hope this helps
