Probable EEPROM issue--What is the service #? (Has three additional characters after model #. EXPERIMENT==1)remove EEPROM-be careful not to damage it. 2)Install 8 pin plug-in socket--observe pin 1 indicator. 3)Plug back in original IC==may work ok,if not replace w/pre-programmed IC from HB Electronics.

No sound on my 32 inch Olevia flat screen

Check to ensure there any peripherals on mute. (cble re,ote,Tv remote etc. Shut down all the components ,Let Tv sit off for 30 or si seconds, then turn on the TV,set volumne sround 1/4 then turn on the tv. If you have cable make sure the se on TV for input.. It should set to correct channel. The same thing occurred on my TV. 14" flat. The above was my procedure. Sound came on on reboot or it was coincudental to the cable carrier correcting something on their end.
Won't hurt to try. Or you can do what they always tell you when you call it in. Turn off the cable box, Unplug the power cord, wait 30 seconds and turn the box back on. Then give it time to reboot. Good Luck, Problems like this is the reason for slogans like "it's the small things that count" Probably something minor hopefully.

TV shuts off after watching netflix or it starts to reboot

I have a similar problem with HULUplus - I think I'll return the TV to WalMart and try another brand. It's the second VIZIO I bought in the last 5 mos. that has had issues. The first TV had popping (sounded electrical) sounds, also cut out sometimes. Would U-Verse have something to do with it? That may be a dumb question, but who knows?

If no signal (whatever the reason) most sets with a solid blue screen will shortly shut off.

A few things to try first:

Unplug set, a box if used, a receiver if you have it in line---wait a while and plug each back and wait to see if they reboot and restore signal.

Also look to see if you can get the set to a video input before it shuts off---A DVD etc should be connected and on when you try that.

check the simple things first:

Speakers in the set are not switched OFF.

If using a box for signal sound is not turned down there--also unplug such a box and or the TV and plug back--will allow the unit to try to reboot.

Look to see if have sound when a DVD etc is connected to rear inputs on the set.

Let me know what you find or if have questions.

The sound has gone on my tv

check the simple things first:

Sound is not muted or turned low on set or a box if used.

Speakers in the set menu are not switched OFF.

DVD etc works and has sound--not the set in this case and if above not the issue--reboot the box if used and if using HDMI try another means of connection.

Disney pixar cars tv/dvd combo turn on but shuts off in minutes

Ours did the exact same thing.. I Decided the remote thing was worth a try. I turned the TV to DVD (without a DVD in the player) pressed the set up button (on remote) and Restored the Default option. (Highlighted Default; highlighted Restore then pressed OK) Then exited the set up. I did this twice just to make sure, LoL well.. it's been on over 4hrs now with no problem.. seems like this fixed it.. hope it helps!!

Problem setting up DVD home theatet sound system sc-pt460 with my vierra panasonic TV. The two appropriately connected with HDMI plus Optical cables. Mainly wish to use it improve TV sound. Have got it...

to see the dvd sound menu option you must be on the correct input selection for your tv. ie. if its Scart, then AV1, or if HD then HDMI 1 etc. then you see the options. as for sound being variable, you can adjust the sound for each speaker in this mode. Main thing for having surround sound with normal TV is to turn on the sound enhancement mode. also, on your viera link on the tv remote, make sure sound its selected as home cinema. word of warning, leave dvd on D-In option, and when turning the TV off, use standby mode, which turns both systems off, ensuring the link does not break.
