Sep 9, 2009 - Working with a Bizhub C450 that has started to print with a shadow on black and white prints. This problem does not show up on color prints.

Clean the Carts with Isopropyl Achohol, Open the printer settings, right click on the Printer Icon, open properties, Maintenance, clean print heads.

the hot place you are cleaning would be the fuser.

are you using a heavier paper than normal? does the photocopier know you are using heavier paper?

Good old fuser wrap, what a pain. What type of paper are you printing on. Often with full page coverage printing I find that you need to user a heavier bond color printing paper to achieve any sort of good quality and reliability in feeding.

change cartridge
the print head of our cartridge is damaged 

clean and clear the drum and blade inside the printer

Shadow images may caused by several things :
1. Deformed rubber of the cleaning blade,
2. Drum aging,
3. Upper heater roller aging.

Bad image unit replace with a new one.

I did the following and it has stopped printing "shadows". I don't know if it was one solution or the other (or both) that worked.

1.On the face of the printer press the "Menu" button>Admin Menu>Maintrnance>Color Reg Adj>
Auto Correct>Yes
2. "Menu" button>Admin Menu>Maintrnance>Clean Developer>(Pick problem color)>Yes.

well.. you got to check out for the settings..first... check for the printing opptions . still if the problem continues then give ur printer for service.
