SOURCE: Ice Maker frost and freeze where ice drops into refrigerator door

You need a service guy to look at it. It could be water leaking or a simple case that the flap isnt sealing and the ice melts and then freezes the flap open

SOURCE: yahoo.commy u-line icemaker is leaking

Hi pachingoman,

If you're experiencing water leaks into the ice tray, it is often caused by the water inlet valve. This is sometimes called a weeping solenoid. The easiest way to correct this is to check if the valve is seal properly or dirt has come between the seal of the valve. If the seal itself is bad, please replace the water inlet solenoid valve. Here are additional troubleshooting that you may apply on this issue.

1. Check to see how big your ice cubes are.

2. If your ice cubes are very large, then then is sounds like your valve isn't sealing off and the water valve will need to be replaced.

3. If the cubes are smaller, then it sounds like the icemaker is leaking water out into the bucket causing the cubes to be small and the bucket ends up a big block.

4. If it doesn't happen all the time, sometimes frost will build up under the icemaker and all you need to do is just thaw the unit out for 24 hours and the problem will fix itself.

It is common for the ice maker to leak overtime. However, if the ice cubes are smaller you definitely need a new ice maker I'm afraid.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

GE refrigerator is not making ice

There are several types of ice makers with the same model number. Some of my questions may seem over - the - top, but I do not know your level of ability. Do not take offense.

Did this ice maker ever work before, or is it a newly installed maker or a factory installed maker in a new fridge? Have you moved the power switch to on? If yours has an LED power indicator, is it off, blinking or on? Off means there's no power to the maker - you'll need to get the maker powered up before going further (make sure the electrical power connector is mated fully). Blinking means cubes have become stuck in the maker. You'll have to shut the maker off, remove the cubes then power up again. On means it is powered and is working normally. Is the freezer compartment set to maintain a temperature lower than 15 degrees F (-9 C)? The ice maker will not make ice unless the temperature is below 15 F (-9 C). The space under the maker must remain clear of obstructions so that the sweeper arm is not blocked (when blocked indicates a full ice container and will halt ice production until the arm can move freely again). The maker may need as many as 3 cycles (approx 6 hours) before all the air in the ice maker's water lines have been purged completely.

Listen for the solenoid valve to operate. Every couple of hours, this valve should operate and an audible click on and click off heard after a several seconds (as long as set on the ice maker cube size adjustment knob). When this solenoid has clicked on, water should be flowing through the lines and filling the ice maker. If not, there is an obstruction that must be cleared. A dirty or improperly installed filter, pinched line, and even ice can interrupt flow to the ice maker. You might need to remove the ice maker from the freezer to check the water supply line that feeds it for the presence of ice. Melt / clear as needed.

Ice cube maker makes ice cubes ever once and a while, the condenser fan turns slowly. is this why it doesn't make ice cubes and the frezzer side is not cold enough? condenser fan going out? monogram...

Good day,
The ice maker speed of production is determined by the freezer temperature. If the freezer temperature is warmer than normal then the cycle thermostat in the ice maker will take longer to reset for the next harvest, causing low ice production.
More important, the condenser fan motor running too slowly can cause the compressor to run overheated and cause serious and expensive damage.
If in your opinion, it is running too slow, the issue should be addressed as soon as possible.

Slow ice cycle

Are you having any temperature related symptoms, i.e., soft ice cream that appears to have melted slightly and refrozen, soft breads in the freezer, warm or hot outer surfaces anywhere? If cooling is not a problem whatsoever, are any of your ice cubes smaller than normal, or do you have hollow ice cubes; you would be able to crush the cubes in your hand? If either of these pertains to you, you have not enough water coming to the ice maker, due to a faulty water valve not opening completely, or your water source pressure is low. disconnect your water line from the fridge, test pressure of the water line by placing end in a bucket, turning water on. It will be obvious how the pressure is. if pressure is good to really good, you have a bad water valve on the fridge. If pressure is so-so to bad, change source water valve.
If cubes are not small nor hollow, but rather normal full size cubes, just not enough, you probably have an intermittent problem with your icemaker, replace that.

My U-Line CO2075FS ice maker seems to over fill and drip water into the ice cube storage drawer. How do I adjust the water flow or fill level limit?

If your water is overfilling then you probably need a faceplate for your icemaker. If you remove the cover on your icemaker(pry on the corners and pull @ same time) You will see a screw with a spring on it. That adjust the water flow. If you tighten you decrease the water. Make sure the gears are not corrioded. If it is. Replace the plate with the gears on it.

The ice maker only makes 7 or 8 cubes and then stops making cubes.

Check the condensor coils ( the roll of coils in back of the fridge ) to make sure they are clean of dust...etc . Try lowering the freezer temperature slightly colder also .
