If it is a drop down door, then you will probably have to replace the oven door hinges, as the springs are most likely weak.
Hope this helps with your prob.

SOURCE: Have an AMANA AOGD2750 oven blew electronic board

Hi As always when working on anything electrical unplug it or turn off main power ,you will need to open his unit up where you say you saw the smoke, the board maybe toasted, if you are good with electrical you maybe able to just replace one small part on the board, it will have burn marks on it i am sure of that , also the board has Part numbers on it if you want me to locate you one much cheeper then you can get it ,,, ( the heat zink almost always burns out first before getting to the rest of the board )

Broiler does not heat. bake is fine

Sounds like a problem in the relay control board. (aka Transformer Relay Board)

If you are comfortable removing the oven from the cabinet (easy!!) and tilting the control panel out a bit, the Broil control relay is the 2nd one from the end on this pic:

If you wanna take it a bit further, and feel comfortable poking around with a DVOM with live power to the board (not recommended for the novice), check relay K5 for 120V on E-12 (blue wire). If you have it, hit the "Broil" button, set it to "high", and check E-13 (black wire to the left of blue wire) for 120V. If you don't have 120V to E13, chances are the relay has flaked out on you.

If this is right down your alley, definitely spend some QUALITY time reading these manuals, they will help you isolate the problem.

Amana EvenAir Convection Plus AOCS 3040: The oven starts to heat up, never quite gets up to temp and then temp drops down. I had an appliance repair man out to look at it and he said that since no error...

Something else you can check while it's preheating: a few drops of cooking oil on the bottom of the oven will tell you if your lower element ("bake") is functioning at all. If it's working, you will get smoke during pre-heat (turn it off!!), if it's not - the problem *can be* in the relay board. Does your "Broil" function work ok.? if it does, then chances are your ERC (electronic range control - the main board that controls all functions) is fine, and the problem is now MOST likely in the relay board. The lower "Bake" element does most of the work in the oven - if the oil trick doesn't give you some smoke, let a tech know that the lower element is not functioning. That will help narrow down the troubleshooting scope.!

The oven will not completely heat

Try a few drops of vegetable oil on the lower pan of the oven, and turn it on. If you do not get smoke during pre-heat, chances are your lower element is not working properly. If you DO get copious amounts of smoke off the pan, the problem could be with the temperature sensor.

If your lower element is not functioning, and if your broil function works just fine, the problem may be isolated to the relay control board. (relay K4 controls half of the 240V required to run the Bake element correctly)

We have an Amana self cleaning oven and can't unlock the door. What do we do to unlock it?

Just wait for the oven to cool off. The unlock is automatic....the door will unlock eventually. It might take a long time.
