I am having trouble downloading songs on my mp3 player

Hi mjwmp12...

Downloading Music to MP3 Player

1...You must download and install Windows Media Player 11 on your computer.
NOTE...Some older MP3 players will not work with Windows Media Player 11 or Windows 7 with Windows Media Player 11.
If this happens to you, then you will have to uninstall Windows Media Player 11 and install Windows Media Player 10.
2...After you have downloaded and installed Media Player on your computer.
3...Open Media Player on your computer.
4...Install all your music into Media Player that you want to install on your MP3 player.
5...Plug in your MP3 player to the computer using your Data/Sync cord, be sure that Windows Media Player is on.
6...Media player should recognize the MP3 player and sync with it.
7...After it is sync'ed with the computer, you can add the music you have installed into Windows Media Player to your MP3 Player.

How to download on my mp3,have never done a download,it is a pearl rca

  • You will need USB cable .
  • It will be provided with your mp3 player.
  • Connect your RCA MP3 player to your computer with the USB cable that came with the player. Plug one end into the Opal player and plug the other end into your computer's USB port.
  • Open the Rca's USB flash drive. Click "Start." Click "My Computer." Click the "USB Mass Storage Drive."
  • Open another "My Computer" window, and locate the music that you wish to download onto your RCA MP3 player. Click "Start." Click "My Computer." Click "My Documents." Click "My Music."
  • Drag and drop the music files you wish to download onto your mp3 player's "Internal Storage" folder (for Windows Vista) or the "Media" folder (for Windows XP).

  • Enjoy the songs....

    Hope it will be helpful...

Execute Windows Media Player 10 to manage your music files and edit playlist. pp.38-39 of your user manual, which can also be obtained at:

    Not working

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

RCA's help site is actually pretty good: http://voxrightnow.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/voxrightnow.cfg/php/enduser/std_alp.php?p_sid=wOSZIMUi&p_lva=&p_li=&p_accessibility=0&p_page=1&p_cv=&p_pv=1.158&p_prods=158&p_cats=0&p_hidden_prods=&prod_lvl1=158&cat_lvl1=0&p_scf_brand=&p_search_text=&p_new_search=1&p_search_type=answers.search_nl&p_sort_by=dflt
