Nokia 6131 Voicemail symbol but no voicemail!

Hi I may be wrong or not have all the facts, But, At first glance, voicemail is not an App or service that is associated with the iPhone 4 itself. How would you "edit" voicemail?? This service would be with your mobile service provider, therefore you should be able to call from any phone and check your voice mail. Here in Australia I delete Telstra voicemail by hitting 5 after the message is played back. Hope this helps solve your problem.

Sometimes just pulling the battery will fix a problem like that. Have you updated your phone recently? If so, that could be it, as well. Usually if something like that occurs because of an update, a second one will be sent out in a few weeks to fix it.

Roaming is only when you leave your service area. As for setting up your voicemail a good way is to dial your own number and press star after it rings

Maybe its because you do have a voicemail message.

Your provider can remove the voicemail icon on you screen but you have to contact them of course. Sometimes what happens is the voicemail is exited improperly and this then will keep the icon on the screen. What you'll need to do it get back into your voicemail and follow the prompts to exit the system (I believe it is the star button to exit voicemail). What I would do is leave yourself a message, call into your voicemail, delete the message and exit the system. If icon is still on the screen then you have no choice but to contact provider. try calling your voicemail again and while your in the call don't hang up right away after you check your messages. give a couple seconds then hang up and the symbol should go away. hope this helps

In most cases you need to call your service provider and have them remove the voicemail feature from your account. You can have it re added when you return, though you will need to set it up again.
