How to program philips 27PT543S37A WITH A RCR4383N REMOTE

Set up codes for Philips TV are: 0062 0204 0184 0208 0205 0206 0207 0004 0189 0183 0199 0200 0288 0456 0003 0008 0068 0075 0086 0087 0141

Direct Code Entry
  1. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
  2. Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
  3. Enter the 4 digit code from the code tables. Note: after a valid code entry, the red indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.
  4. With your device on, press CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. Note: If some buttons do not operate your device, try one of the other codes for your brand.

We have a Philips DVD3460 recorder. Where in the manual does it inform us on while Watching T.V. and DVD is recording another T.V. channel?. Would love to know " how to do this"?

It depends on your setup.
Think of the Philips DVD3460 as an independent, standalone television set. It has its own analogue tuner, and its own video input.
If you have an analogue RF TV signal (coaxial cable) going in to the Philips DVD3460, you can watch whatever you want on any other TV connected to the TV signal coaxial cable, since the regular analog TV cable carries all of the channels.
However, if you are using a cable or satellite box and use the "Video in" function of the DVD recorder or just have the DVD recorder tuned to channel 3 or 4 to record from a cable or satellite box, you can't record one channel and watch another unless you have a second cable box..

I have an TV Phillips L01-1UAC-7638, the issue is, when I turn on the TV, after 15 or 20 seconds the TV turns itself off, but if I change the chanels the TV does not turn off, I mean if the TV is showing...

Hi, you don't mention the full model number, there should be a number on the back of the TV something like this 27PT543S37A, the problem you have seems to be fairly common and if this is your model number you could try this, on philips model 27pt543s37a will not power-up without changing channels for 5 minutes, transistor number 7461 is leaky between collector and base - needs to be replaced, and a capacitor rated 47 uf (microfared) at 25 volts, should be upgraded to a 47 uf at 63 volts, with a temperature rating of 105 degrees vs 85 degrees.

Hope this helps, I am assuming that you are able to use a soldering iron etc.

If you have no experience in electronics/soldering or how and where to get parts please consult a TV technician, dangerous voltages can lurk about in a tv even when not plugged in so please be careful and if at all unsure leave it to the people that know!

Philips LCD 17PF8946/37 TV not working

The good news is that the "No Input Signal" message means that your TV is not broken. If you are trying to watch cable, then you have simply turned the TV to the wrong input channel. If your cable comes into the Philips using a coaxial cable wire, use the Philips remote to change the channel to Ch.3 or 4 - whichever channel you normally watch cable on. Make sure the cable box is turned on if you have a cable box. If the cable box connects to the TV using another type of wire, use the Ch+/- on the Philips remote and go through all the AV channels until you find the right one. Good luck! Let me know if you need additional help.

Setting up receive set top box and tv for surround sound

Plug the TV to an open channel on your receiver via this output:
*Rear, 1 x Digital audio output (coaxial) ( TOSLINK )
This will look like a single RCA output plug.
Set that input channel on your receiver to some sort of virtual surround mode because it doesn't look like your HDTV has a decoder in it (meaning it will come out stereo and the receiver will have to fake it).
Turn the volume all the way down on the TV and use the receiver to control TV volume just as you do with DVDs.

*Substitute this with the digital audio output on your set top box if you are sending video only to the TV from the set top box (component, DVI or s-video connections). So video goes to the TV, audio to the receiver.
