Roper Washer About a week ago, my 2 year old Roper Washer began making a screeching sound during the whole wash cycle. It sounds similar to when a fan belt on a vehicle needs to be replaced, but not quite as loud. It does not do it during any other cycle, and fills up as normal. The only difference is the sound.

Open up the door, try spinning the cross fan to see if you can replicate the sounds if it does, check the fastener to see if it's either too loose or too tight, either of which can create such sounds.
Sounds like you have change in the pump the coin may be stopping the propeller of the pump not allowing it to pump out the water. you may be able to take the pump off and clean the pump if the propeller is too bad you may need to replace the pump the pump part number is W10049390
Its the clutch ,And it sounds like it time for a new washer, the clutch is expensive and washer are cheap try a second hand store that sale scratched or almost new machines
it's the motor that makes the humming sound..it may have difficulty in starting..when starting like this the motor draws more current and this may cause the windings to burn out..try reducing the load..if the sound disappears then indeed the capacity of the motor is deteriorating...take out motor and clean bushing and lubricate.. also realign belt ..
usuall a schreeching noise during blower opperation is bad berrings which would need to be replaced. Most unit warrentys for newer units cover five year parts and sometimes 10 for heat exchanger. But most do not cover labor. Or the blower may just be off balance and metals are rubbing. eaither way your proubly gonna need a tech. good luck
Sounds like the main drum bearings have failed.
At this age , I don't think this is an economical repair to undertake.
Better to replace with a new one.
Mine is doing the same thing. I opened it up to see what was happening and it was the drive belt tension arm bumping around. Soon, the belt started slipping during the spin cycle. Now it won't spin and the belt starts to smolder from the friction of the drive motor. If you haven't checked your belt, that's a good place to start.
