Soundbar will not turn on

1. Check the power cord is plugged in properly by removing it and replacing it. 2. Try a different outlet on the surge protector.3. Most surge protectors have a reset button, try resetting it.

Ipod docks to philips sound bar, but produces no sound...

Check the iPod dock connector for dust or pocket-lint. Use compressed air to blow it out if there's debris in there.

Then check the sound bar's connector to make sure the universal dock connector is clean and doesn't have any damage to the connector.
