The camera was recording and the battery ran out. When teh battery was replaced some files were recovered by the camera but one was not. Its icon is a segment of broken chain on the camera's screen. The camera gives a message that the file could not be recovered or read.

Hi! As a first course of action please link the handycam and the pc via usb. By then you can copy the files from the handycam and hopefully it will open. But if not, then the dvd itself is faulty. You will need a replacement for it to work normally again. Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa!
