Where in the settings, do you find out what your cell number is? Is there a generic way of retrieving this information? I don't know the exact model of the phone, just that it is an LG. Package is being mailed to me.
It's a friend's Italian phone, and he does not know the number. I will be using it when travelling in Italy.

I am afraid you will not be able to retrieve the numbers as this is totally erased from the memory .however please try your luck with the Nokia support center to check if there is any memory back up that can be retrieved.
Go into settings and then go to phone settings then security, then it will ask you for your phone lock security code, enter the 4 digit number, and if you haven't programmed one in, then usually the generic codes are one of the following:
last four numbers of your cell number
Once you have figured out the right code, just scroll down to reset phone select and it'll do the rest!
no need for a wipe of the handheld, but you will need to go into an authorized service center. they will have a software program that will read the settings of the phone, and then you can reset or turn off the security pin, but you will need to go into the store for this procedure.
paindroprod, unfortunately if the phone is broken all together then there will be no way to get those numbers off the phone. the only thing you can do is if any numbers were saved to you SIM card then those can be downloaded to another phone. try this t1m0thy
