No power to lights, no compressor or fans. Power at the plug. Need help troubleshooting. Coils are clean, I'm stumped. Had a power outage 3 days ago, but refrigerator has been running until this morning. Need answer asap, if I need to call someone or replace need to know before food spoils too.
Do you know if you have a mechanical defrost. On the older side by side Amanda's there is the defrost control timer at the bottom in front. Put a screw driver in the slot and advance the timer. If it is stuck everything will be off. Think it's a small red dial. Open both doors, take off the front kick plate and it is under the front.

could be a glitch in the defrost cycle the adaptive defrost control could be faulty and when you unplugged it you might have reset it it should be ok till monday but i would just get the basics untill the tech looks at it

Look at the back of the freezer wall from inside the freezer. Is there frost on it? If there is, you need to replace one of the components of the defrost system. If there is no frost then you need to have a repair made to the sealed system, it is either out of gas or the compressor is running inefficiently

Hi.The compressor motor is connected to the refrigerant system, which is not user serviceable. It will be necessary to have the compressor serviced, or replaced by a qualified technician. During this process, the pressurized system will need to be re pressurized. This will require special tools, and regulative equipment, as well.
