Re: stops between rinse and spin cycles giving a ld...
Ld sure sounds like lid switch problems. Suprised to see this so soon, but I did see one come apart on a fairly new Whirlpool. Luckily, it should be easy to check. Unplug the machine first.

Whirl Pool Cabrio LD Temp fix pt.2. animal131 ... How to override an error code on the Whirlpool Cabrio washer - Duration: 3:08. Whirlpool ...
LD is a long drain code usually mean something is in the drain line or pump area. Check thes areas first. If nothing blocking them then the pump is going out.
Call recall # 1 800 659 7026. Give your name & telephone # you gave when you purchase it. Some CS reps want model & serial #. Your machine is probably part of the recall & will be repaired free if it is...Good luck!
“F21” (AKA SD) is a Long (SLOW) Drain error (LD). If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes this error code will be displayed. In addition, a “SUDS” error may also be displayed. This may be an indication of a drain pump problem and/or clog in the drain line. You will need to check the following:
1.First, attempt to unplug the washer for at LEAST 30 minutes to reset the Central Control Unit (CCU). Sometimes this is all that is required to correct momentary glitches with the unit. If the error code returns, proceed to step 2. 2.Check the drain hose to make sure it is not kinked or clogged. 3.Check the electrical connections to the pump and ensure the pump is running. 4.Remove the drain pump filter and check for foreign objects and/or debris. Sometimes the LD on certain machines can be decieving, It's possible that the error is pointing to a lid lock issue. I'm a sears tech but have logged of my work computer for the night so I can't look it up right now. I just happened to stumble on this forum. In all appliances there is a tech sheet hid somewhere. This will give you more information. On this model, if you press and hold anykey for 3-4 seconds, let it up for 3-4 second and do that 3 times it will show more codes and go into a test cycle. Don't worry you cant screw anything up in the controller. If you or anybody needs help on appliances you can drop me a line. I have been a Sears tech for 15 years and have seen a lot of stuff and learning more all the time. scottowa at hot mail
