You will need an ohmmeter to test the sensor. I have replaced some of those exact units already for being open (no resistance). You will have to remove the front of the dryer to axcess the sensor. To have a tech repair it would run you here in Florida 1hr $75 lbr and the part around 40. If there was no other servicing needed. especially if you cn have him make sure he has a thermistor (sensor) with him...

google: frigidaire dryer "put model here" error code 55. I couldn't find anything. So there's more to the error code than 55, or it is model perhaps year dependant.
The error code E68 means a key or button is stuck. Check the buttons by pressing them one at a time to find the stuck one or enter the service diagnostic mode then the key function test. Click on the link below for the detailed instructions.
One of the first things to do when a F2 error code appears is to perform a simple reset. To do this, turn the dryer off and disconnect power to the dryer. Wait 30 seconds to one minute, restore power and turn the dryer on. Choose a new dryer cycle and push "Start" to begin. If the error code does not return to the display, the reset was successful and no further action is necessary. Hope this helps.
This code indicates a pump issue. First, remove and clean the filter.
Then you need to check out the pump.
Whirlpool F2 = Long
Drain error
code. If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water
valves are turned off and “F/02” is flashed. Press, PAUSE/CANCEL
twice to clear the display. NOTE: After 4 minutes the “Sud” error
will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the "F2 error code" will be
displayed.
Potential Causes: (1) Check the
drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked. (2) Check the
electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running. (3)
Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects.
F02 - Long Drain (Drain Exceeds 8 Minutes) - Select 'cancel' twice to clear error code. Note: You may see a "SUD" error code appear first during this failure. This should change to the F02 error code after a few minutes. Proceed by checking the drain hoses for proper connection and kinks. Unplug unit and disconnect power. Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure it is operational with no debris or blockage. Reconnect power and plug unit in. If problem has not been corrected, replace the pump.
