SOURCE: Krups Espresseria Automic XP7200 coffee machine
As this is an automatic espresso machine, I suspect that the cake container is where the "used" pucks of ground coffee drop into after your espresso is extracted. The container may not be fully seated in position. See if there is a door on the machine that the container may be hiding behind.
Good Luck.

SOURCE: I have 2 krups gusto
Hi,
Don't know if you're still looking but this website has EVERY SINGLE PART of our dear Krups 880---and of every other espresso maker, blender, toaster...any kitchen machine in existence, it seems.
Some items are listed as out of stock but they accept orders so they can get it but you may have to wait.

I had ordered a replacement carafe for my office coffee maker at the end of November, but somehow I ordered the wrong size. I put it on the back burner (tee hee) and called them to return it today, Jan. 26. According to the pre-teen in India that I spoke with, you can only return items after one month. Why? Well, surely you know about the lucative coffeemaker replacement carafe scam going on all across America...I mean, why f$#%@* not?!
Stupid ace hardware outlet!
So I stumbled upon smallappliance.com because I refuse to buy my carafe from ace hardware outlet, and was pleasantly surprised to find that they carry so many brands that they will probably be my parts replacement place for life.
Happy shopping and I hope you still have your machines.
