Just recently my Krups combination Espresso/Coffee maker XP207050 started leaking out the back, near the lid for the coffee section of the machine. This only seems to happen when the coffee section is being used on the machine. It will leak nearly half the water out the back onto the counter when the machine is turned on to heat the water and the instruction book has no troubleshooting for this problem. Krups wants me to send the coffee maker in, but it seems like an easy fix for an expensive piece of equipment. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The valve in the lid is faulty, it will eventually fail completely. The correct lid can be ordered from your local Krups service agent. Be prepared for disappointment though as many of them are now obsolete. You will need to give the agent the model number, it's normally on a sticker on under the base.

For filter coffee makers , there is a lid , lift this you will see the filter at the back of this there is a hole,fill this with the water.
But your coffee on the filter,close the lid, put the jug on the base turn on.

My Krups was not working after I accidentally forgot to place the black plastic lid on the coffee carafe BEFORE starting to brew a new batch of coffee. The coffee will not drip into the carafe without the lid
in place. Because the lid is hidden when placed in the coffee maker, it's easy to forget! The coffee all backed up in the filter area and overflowed. The display got wet. Not good.....

If your buttons and or display is not working ( mine got wet with coffee) simply flip the coffee maker over. Unscrew the bottom. expose the display circuit board carefully, DRY it with a HAIR DRYER and put the unit back together! Presto! Mine is working again.

If you need a new circuit board, you can get one for $35 from Appliances.com I found. They also have the Duo filter and extra parts cheaper than the Krups website.

Replace it.

turn on your krups espreeso to warmup the water, put one spoon of coffee in the handle, lock the handle and turn on the pressure button, and the coffee leaks in your cup, that's all
