Magic Chef CTB1521GR. Just bought used, was cold and running fine at purchase. Was forced to tip it on it's back to move it. Immediately unloaded and set upright for 48 hours undisturbed. Plugged it in and seemed to run fine. After a short time it shut down and will not restart. Interior light is on.
The unit may have gone into the defrost cycle. The fans and compressor will be off during the defrost cycle. Has the unit been plugged in for more than 30 minutes since you noticed it stopped? If so, you will see a round plastic knob recessed about 8" back in the console on the fresh food ceiling. Rotate this knob clockwise with a flat blade screw driver until a distintive click, louder than the tiny clicks made while rotating the knob. If the fans and compressor come on, replace the timer (68233-3).
If the fans and compressor do not come on after rotating the timer, you may have a bad cold control of loose wire in one of the molex connectors from the move.
and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...202 views
