Go to www.service-manual.net, do a search for the C2424 manual, and purchase it for about $12. Download the manual, but, more importantly, download the service bulletins that also come with it, one which deals with this. The information you get for the $12. is well worth the cost.

this code means your scanner has failed to setup correctly. this could be a problem that you would need a qualified tech to service the copier. there is nothing that you can do after you power off and power on (popo) the copier. it could be voltage, pwb board, or a binding scanner assembly.
