Web cam is not working

My web cam on Acer 5610z has stopped working. it does not display pictures and no sign that it functions

First remove the current driver from add/remove programs applet in Control Panel ,reboot and then reinstall the driver from the drivers CD or download it from Acer:
http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/downloads_gd.html
Select Notebook ,Aspire ,then 5610z, by default the operating system is Windows Vista but you can change it if you have Windows XP.
Download the bison driver and reinstall it.

It's called Bison_CCD_5_0_0_10f .
Go to acer site ,download ,drivers and you'll find for your 5610 maybe with other version or numbers.

you did not say which Operating system you are using which is important as I am going to suggest you install the driver. at any rate I am going to give you the link where you can select your computer model and operating system from the drop down menus. from the horizontal menu choose driver and select your camera make

My Acer Aspire 5610Z crashed last Nov, a month after I had it a year, since then the webcam (built in) will work with msn ect, but I can no loner access it to take pictures and save them, nor can I find...

This is the support site for your laptop, Click on the link > click notebook > click Aspire > scroll down to the 5610z > download the application and drivers for the crystal eye web cam. Run programs and install.

sometimes when you save photoes in your picture folder the webcam stops working just simply move all pictures out of the picture folder unless they have to do with the webcam software worked for me

if you are coming to say that your web cam is getting turned on .on other computers the your acer must be having some problems with the USB port....the port power pins must not be working...
